Registration
Registration is again at the National Sports Centre (NSC) in Douglas from 17.30 to 20.30 on Wednesday 19th June and between 17.30 and 19.30 on Thursday 20th June.
Google map of the National Sports Centre (NSC) here.
Please note that the NSC perimiter road will be closed to vehicular traffic. Limited car parking will be available at:
- The Bowl car park (accessible from the traffic lights at the Peel Road/Pulrose Road junction at Pulrose Bridge);
- The car park between the Fire station and the Quarterbridge public house;
- The car park behind the Quarterbridge public house.
- The car park at the NSC swimming pool
To speed up the registration process, please ensure that you know your race number (you will receive an email confirming the final instructions and race numbers will also available here on this website).
You will not be able to compete in the Manx Telecom Parish Walk unless you register and if you are unable to attend in person you must arrange for someone to do so for you.
Whilst registering you can also select mobile numbers on which to receive text messages of your progress
Bag Drop
For 2024, we are offering a 'bag drop' facility whereby competitors finishing in Peel can drop off a bag with us before the start on race day which we will take to Peel for you. Bags dropped off with us can be collected from the Phillip Christian Centre, which is behind Peel town hall. There is no charge for this service.
Personal photos
This year's race will covered by Photohawk. To register, go to manxtelecom.com/photohawk and subscribe to get access to images of you taken during the race.
Withdrawals
If you have any doubts about your health and fitness you should seek medical advice before starting the Parish Walk. Race entry fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The start
The walk starts on the athletics track at the NSC at 08.00 on Saturday 22nd June 2024. Please turn up in plenty of time. Toilet facilities are available.
Wherever possible, arrange to be dropped off outside the NSC, walk to the start or use public transport. There will be no parking facilities at the outside part of the NSC. There will be very limited car parking facilities at the inside part of the NSC swimming pool (off Groves Road) but cars should not be left there after the start. There is also a limited amount of pay and display parking at the Bowl car park off Pulrose Bridge.
There will be plenty of cameras around at the start so don't forget to smile!
